...to change a North American 2nd gen Escort into a KH Laser TX3?
Just by looking at them, for the front (back is mostly irrelevant. I'm not even sure what's standard for the Laser's rear end) the only differences are the headlights, grille, and bumper. But what I wonder is if the Escort is already perfectly compatible with Laser parts or if there's more that needs to be done in order to get them properly mounted. The Laser just looks so much better, like most Australian Fords, so, you know... It could be cool if I ever managed to get my hands on the stuff to do it.

I'm thinking you could replace the whole front end. the Laser's quarterpanel seems to have a shallower cut for the lights.

buy a 6 pack of VB and leave them open and on the back seat.
the headlights, bumper, grille and maybe front quarters would have to be changed. The headlights wouldn't be DOT approved because they shine to the left of the car.
The hardest part would be finding the TX3 bits, they aren't common down here either.

A few people discussed this a while back on FEOA:

Oh, cool! I guess I didn't notice that the Tracer has the same headlights as the Laser. That'll save me a ton, and make this so much more do-able.
